I read about the new Dells coming out with Ubuntu preinstalled as an option in the tech news lately. I was wondering how will this step change the future of Ubuntu OS becoming more of a mainstream OS like Windows and Mac OS X?

I suspect that Dell will become a winner as Ubuntu becomes the most popular distro out there. Any other opinions of this?

Are you (current linux user) going to buy a Dell computer?

Hardware manufacturers do not put that much effort towards linux for the "free" issue.

Everything is bussiness.

What if tDEll does not sell enough?

Who is going to pay the tv spots for Dell Ubuntu?

Is there a real future other than the excitement of the geeks (or geeks wanabe (like me)) about it?

If I ever buy a computer again, itll be in 4 years from now...
