View Full Version : Linux IDEs ?

Eh, so I'm learning C++ and I'm wandering what people's favourite IDE is for Linux for C++ and other [popular] languages.

I've been using Microsoft apps (Visual family and so on) when on Vista but I'm looking at what to use when on Linux (Unless there are some Linux compatible ones from Microsoft ?).

Thanks. :)

Yeah anjuta is a good one to go with for C/C++ I'd say. Eclipse is mainly for Java development but there are plugins for C that you may wanna check out as well. It's a pretty decent IDE. Good luck

Are there any other IDEs than Anjuta, that uses autotools?

kdevelop also uses autotools too.

Code::blocks is very good. It is not in the repository, but you can get ubuntu packages on the nightly build forums. (http://forums.codeblocks.org/index.php?board=20.0)
