Do you have a digital music collection? In what format are _most_ of your files?

I ripped all my CDs in FLAC format so I could have a perfect copy if the disc gets scratched or something, also it's good for transcoding to my iPod.

One day I ripped half my CD collection and I did it as .mp3, I figured it was a simple and common format so that's why I chose it. Now I wish I had chosen .ogg since it's so much better quality and smaller.
I may get my wish because I recently discovered I had somehow wiped the folder where all my music was, about 13GB of music! :(

That's awful. It makes me want to go home and start backing up my own collection...I have 47 GB

mp3: it's what everyone else uses, including mp3 players.

Yeah, sorry I left out a few other somewhat popular ones, including .aac.

Kind of a silly poll. MP3 is obviously the most popular standard. I would use .ogg but for one I already had an mp3 collection so transcoding it into .ogg is stupid at best and my mp3 player doesn't do .oggs

80% mp3
20% FLAC
I wish I could use OGG, but at the moment, my mp3 player doesnt support OGG in the native firmwire, and rockbox stilll needs some work. (I have an Sansa E260)
