Hi, I'm using Freevo media center (http://freevo.sourceforge.net/) and it looks a lot better when I have a cover.jpg of the CD cover in each album directory. Problem is it takes a long time googling each record, renaming and saving the image to the appropriate directory.

Anyone know of any short cuts? Does a program like this exist that I'm unaware of? Some audio players like Banshee and I'm sure Rhythmbox fetches CD-covers automatically. Maybe there's something to use in there?

Amarok is very good for fetching cd covers.

I'd rather not install KDE libs... Do you know if it saves the image files to each directory?

It doesn't directly store them in the directory - it stores them in its' database. There is an extension called Copy Cover that will copy them from the Amarok database to the music directory.

Try cowbell. It can fetch cover art from amazon, and is a good album-oriented tag editor too.

Or, as a GTK alternative to Amarok, try Exaile (http://exaile.org/). :D
