Python executable?

Maybe its just me but I cant figure out what to do with what I have been learning about the python language. More specifically I cant figure out how to program in python then make the program pop up on the screen. Can someone help me or tell me how stupid I am then tell me what I do with the code or whatever?

P.S: I am completely new to programming if you couldn't already tell.
