Ok... We are still not getting a response from the community about getting our mailing list set up. Does anyone have any way of hosting a mailing list for our group? Or any suggestions? We could set up a Yahoo group, but I'd rather do something different.

Let's get this thing started!

How did you go about requesting it? By emailing mailman@lists.ubuntu.com ? We are entitled to a ubuntu-us-pa list.

If you're running into trouble, talk with Joe Terranova of the NJ LoCo. He got his mailing list (https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-us-nj/) going fairly recently. As Elizabeth was saying, it should be as easy as firing off an email. If there's more to it than that, I'm sure JoeT is quite familiar with the process.

I just send them an email, maybe something about yours aren't going though? I have no idea but we'll see if I get a response. Maybe they're pissed at PA for something? Maybe they're from New Orleans and think Philly is too dirty to deserve a mailing list.

mailman@lists.ubuntu.com is where I sent the request (twice) and I am the team contact, so that's covered as well. Etank has also talked to someone on our behalf.

I just spoke with Jono Bacon (he is the Community Manager and handles these things) and he said:

"there has been a backlog, I am hoping to get it clear early next week"

Yay, a timeframe!

Good news is that Jono has gotten in touch with me as well and basically affirmed what he told Elizabeth. We should get this resolved very soon!
