why windows or OS X !!!

i don't undestand, why people keep using windows or macs?

why many hardwere manufacture don't publish driver for linux?

why apple make quicktime for windows but not for linux?

why microsoft make windows media player, ms virtule machine, office and many other applications for mac but not for linux?



i think they are fearing for " Linux " , because linux already have what they trying to achive.

such as transparency future.

i think this is why they don't publish anything for Linux.

they just don't see linux as a major factor in the market. They don't see the competition. Also, linux isn't advertised as much offline as windows and MAC. Apple even has their own stores.

Apple writes products for Windows to reach out to a large user base, and potential convince windows users that Apple products are better than Windows.

Microsoft writes products for Macs to continue to make a profit off of people who had left, and possibly get them to come back.

There's not much profit to be made writing programs for Linux. Linux users have typically made a decision about their operating system, and Apple isn't going to be able to win them over. Microsoft doesn't want to actively help Linux become a viable alternative to WIndows.

There simply isn't much of a market for proprietary applications on Linux.
