I would love to go to UDS-Sevilla and work on improving the communication and integration of the forums and the rest of the community. I’m an ubuntuforums staff member and I’m one of the leaders of the ubuntuforums Forum Ambassadors team. For more about Forum Ambassadors see here (http://ubuntudemon.wordpress.com/2007/04/19/ubuntuforums-ambassadors-update/), here (http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=235) and here (http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=238).

This is the place where we will collect Forum Community Ideas (before registering them at the UDS meeting) : ForumAmbassadors/GutsyCommunityIdeas

I would love to got to UDS-Sevilla but I would be barely able to pay for food and travel (I might even go in the red for that) so I can’t pay for a hotel during my stay. Maybe someone has an idea ? Maybe there are really cheap hostels somewhere close?

I’m very happy that our ubuntuforums staff members Mike (http://www.mikesplanet.net/) and PriceChild (http://pricechild.co.uk/) are able to represent the forums at UDS-Sevilla. Mike did great at UDS-mtv, became a member of the Forums Council and is even being considered for the CC (http://www.markshuttleworth.com/archives/111)! PriceChild is also a leader of our ubuntuforums Forum Ambassadors team. In my humble opinion these two guys are great and I’m proud that they will represent us, forum people, at UDS-Sevilla.

I've never tried it myself, but some Ubuntu Forum member mentioned http://www.couchsurfing.com/ in another thread--a free place to stay and a learning experience...

Thanks for the suggestion :)

From the site I get the impression that it's not really intended for people who are at a summit during the whole stay. But maybe I should try.

Treenaks gave me this url (http://wikitravel.org/en/Sevilla#Sleep) which lists these two hostels :

* Hostel Nuevo Suiz
* Oasis Backpackers’ Hostel Sevilla

So I’m considering staying at a hostel during UDS-Sevilla. Does anyone else consider staying at a hostel during UDS-Sevilla ? If so please contact me. Also please contact me if you have any tips/suggestions. I’m ubuntu_demon on irc.

Another idea would be to get together with a bunch of people and share the rent of an apartment. The more people you get the less you have to pay?

That might be an option. But I couldn't really find a bunch of people.

I'm going to stay in an hostel. See my latest blog post : http://ubuntudemon.wordpress.com/2007/04/28/im-attending-uds-sevilla/
