seen both Ubuntu and Kubuntu dvd download options. google turned up several torrent links

I do not get it either. but given the number of sites that are overwhelmed just serving cd images maybe they have not had time to add the dvd images yet.

I thought it would take forever to d/l the cd iso, due to volume, but I just got it in 8 minutes! Between 900kbps and 3mbps the whole way!

so, as i understand, ubuntu dvd is not officially distributed, only on torrents.
i found it on torrentspy :)

I just downloaded the iso from the official page, and chose 'Burn a DVD image' in gnomebaker, and it burned me a very nice DVD.
