MS do indeed seem to have a new anti-linux campaign.

This article is true though - there are less UNIX users out there so it costs more to find and hire them.

No, there are more UNIX servers out there. Suggestions that Microsoft controls the server market because they have high market share are misleading, as some of the largest companies don't have to pay for commercial solutions, they can maintain their own IT departments from top to bottom. Windows is the single largest server OS, in that the UNIX server world is divided between numerous vendors like Sun, Red Hat, and Novell. But UNIX-like systems combined outnumber Windows.

Not that it would be especially terrible from the technical perspective if it didn't. In contrast to their impoverished desktop offerings, Microsoft's server software stack is excellent.
