Alright..Well Im gonna start studying for The Comptia Linux+ Cert and i was wondering if Ubuntu would be a good distro to use...Im reading all the Hype and it sounds intresting...I usually roll with SUSE but its just blah..kinda boring i need to see what else is out there..and if it would be a good choice should i install the server ed or just Desktop and it would do what is needed to study for the exams..Another Question...IS it really only 1 disc to install or am i missing something?

Thanks..

1 CD is right (just pick the right one), the rest of the programs are downloaded from the web when you need them.

It's pretty strange that comptia doesn't seem to say what distro they certify for... is it an entry level certification? Otherwise it sounds odd. Personally I'd go with Debian for something like this, but it's not like the differences between e.g. Feisty and Etch are that big.
