Making Javascript items cache

There's a javascript navigation menu on every page of a site I run, and many of the traffic is from people with slow internet connections (the store that owns the site is out in the boonies). To make his pages load faster, he would like me to make the menu cache in visitors' computers. If anyone could tell me how I could go about this, I would be very grateful.
