Hi, i'm looking for an ftp client that lets me edit a remote file by right clicking on it and choosing the edit option from the context menu.

GFTP has this feature, but it's buggy, it seems to only work with gedit and besides that, I don't like gedit, it's too plain.

I really like VirgoFTP, but sadly this doesn't have the feature either.

I've tried a lot of clients but only gftp seems to have this feature.. weird!

So does anyone know an FTP client that allows remote file editing (client downloads file to temp directory, launches text editor of your choice and detects when text editor is closed at which point it'll ask you to upload the file again) ?

Thanks in advance :)

I also don't any other FTP client that has the same feature file editing in gFTP, but I do hope FileZilla will get on par with its sibling in Windows, that would be perfect for a FTP client :-)

Yea I was surprised to see FileZilla didn't support it..

I found out about a client called IglooFTP though, and this works perfect, it has it's own editor/viewer but you can also use your own, and it actually works with editors other than gedit, awesome!
