Question about 'gimmie'--what happened to the application dock?

I noticed in this screencast that gimmie used to have an application dock and other things, so you didn't really need another gnome-panel at all.

Did the developer make a decision to remove it or is it still available somewhere?

nope it's still there, just launch gimmie from a terminal or something and you'll get the stand alone version.
