Star Trek OS?

I was thinking about it, linux is supposed to be highly customizable, right? Has anyone developed an OS that would replicate the Star Trek computer interface we all know and love? I've seen a website that does, and I found some Windows skins that do a mediorce job, but I figure if the OS is built for it from the ground up, it could be completly seemless...

So has anyone made something like this? All I find on google is an old Apple x86 project =/

The Star Trek interface is called "LCARS" there is a KDE skin on freshmeat here:
