Ok I have come into some money and I'm now at a stage where I can buy a new computer. I simply refuse to be pulled into XP/Vista and I'm sticking with Ubuntu Dapper 6.06 LTS till the next LTS comes out. It's been working fine on my 56k connection with my AMD 700 512MB machine.

Well now it's time to upgrade. I don't want a Telkom line in my flat. I just want to be able to browse and email, forums, usenet etc. Maybe a bit of downloading when needed. So...

In South Africa, Durban, Malvern, Queensburgh what is the best bet for wireless and the most compatible bit of hardware for Ubuntu on my Desktop/Laptop. More than likely a Desktop as they are cheaper to repair when things go wrong.

So can anyone help?

Cheers.

EDIT: As I should of mentioned I want 3g / HSDPA wireless form.
