If you goto the homepage and take a glance at the upper right corner you will see what I mean :D I just wonder why it says 4 days rather than 3?

Seems that Canonical are making a much bigger deal about Feisty than any other release. I can see why, I've been running it since 1 month after Edgy was released and its been fantastic ever since. As long as you don't have a Broadcom wifi adapter then Feisty should be better than any other release. I've never known a Linux distro that has been as stable or as powerful. Well done to the Ubuntu devs.

I'm running Feisty beta at home and its quite stable :) . If the feisty beta version is stable then i think that final version will be super-hyper rock solid.:D

Looking forward to the weekend then!! I'll probably wait a few extra days in case of upgrade bugs.

I love Ubuntu!!

Now someone familiar with the process, could you be so kind and describe to me how the upgrade from edgy goes?

I just found out today it uses 2.6.20 lol so i guess thats my mine concern with the upgrade.

Dont be surprised if its delayed a couple of days with all the kernel hickups there has been lately.

If you grab a daily from a couple of days ago that uses the -14 kernel you'll be fine. Its pretty much what final will be minus some technicals. A couple of updates once final hits and you'll be golden.

Why delay it when they just posted the announcement today complete with a countdown clock?

Click the Check button to check for new updates
A message will appear informing you of the availability of the new release

Follow the on-screen instruction
