build a new super system for vista

I've seen a couple of articles over at extremetech.com
stating how the editors built new fangled core 2 duo badarse
systems just for vista.

Me, I'm running feisty beta on an athlon xp 2500 and an asus nforce2
motherboard. With AGP - gasp!!!

I agree. The amount of resources used by Vista is appauling. I started off this year with Vista RC1, went to RC2, and got fed up. I could barely run IE7 with a VMware server at the same time.

Went to Edgy and I've only ever booted back to vista to update my palm pilot. (stupid documentsToGo).

Btw, I'm running a e6300 with 1 gig DDR2-800 ram. Still not enough for vista RC2. Appauling.
