Could someone recommend a good beginners book for Linux.
What I am finding at the book store aren't worth dragging home.

I'm not sure how "beginner" you're looking for, but I liked Linux Cookbook. You can check out some of it, to see if it's something you'd want with this link: http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/linuxckbk/

sounds good. i have the 'fedora bible' (for red hat systems) and this is more help than the ubunto boos i bought. i'm going after the Ubuntu Linux Bible soon :D
