These are my roomates (as well as me) and it's our first video. Ha ha we had to do a lot of free running in the snow because it was winter, but was still cool because we could do better clips. BTW I'm the one that runns into a wall at the very end of the video hehe

I first saw a programme on the BBC about free-runners with a group from France.
Would you say you need a lot of upper body strength and of course stamina?

I've seen a similar video of French kids doing that. There's had many more acrobatic stunts.

District 13 is an awesome free runner movie, if you havent already heard of/seen it. :)
In relation to your video: bloody monkeys! :-P Were some of the clips speeded up slightly though? In some of the scenes, the freerunners seemed to swing really fast. ;)

I'm a little bit confused...is this just a video of you and your friends running around and jumping off/through/over things, with some climbing, too? Is this a common activity?
Am I out of the loop? I thought I was hip.

It's kind of like break dancing, a lot has to do with balance more than actually strength. But upper body really does help. Most important for free running though is having good cardeo (however you spell it)

Actually its all in real time. We have been working on it for a couple months. The footage takes place in Idaho and Salt Lake City oh and parts of Provo Utah.
Well the the swinging on the bar ( I think this is what you are referring to) a Mario (my specialty ;) ) and if you do it with a left hand, its a Luigi.

We aren't that advanced lol, but we will get their someday if we keep practicing. We have been doing this for about 4 months, that guy has probably got years of experience. Cool video though, I have seen some of his clips somewhere before.

It's free running ;) Running around doing whatever you want with friends. I think its a great activity. It really is different once you go out there and do it. Try it, it's amazing.!

I haven't done that much free-running over the winter, but I'm looking forward to getting into it again now that the weather's getting warmer. It's nice to see some traceurs on the forums though, just make sure your not spending so much time filming that you loose focus on your training. Other than that you guys are pretty good, keep up the good work.
