I'm starting this thread so we can list special events that might be good for networking our team. I'm quite busy (baby, wife, small sw biz) but I always schedule in some time to talk up Ubuntu at a variety of meetings. Even if it's only for a half hour, established groups sometimes just need to know that someone out there is actually using this fascinating technology before they'll commit to even trying it.

Before the end of the day, I should have some posts here. Two are for tomorrow. I just have to make sure I can invite you guys first. Sorry for the short notice. Stay tuned.

Again, sorry for the short notice. I'm going to put up a poll each event so I maintain a head count of attendees from our LoCo team. The people at MLCUG have asked that I limit the amount of attendees at their Ubuntu meeting. So here are the details:

*** EVENT 1 ***
Title: Ubuntu Discussion with Main Line Computer User Group (MLCUG)
Time: 12pm to 1:30pm (or longer)
Location: St. Augustine Center, Villanova University
URL: http://mlcug.org/
Comments: Please use the poll if you want to attend. Due to space restrictions we may have to limit our head count to about 5.

*** EVENT 2 ***
Title: NTR Bring a Computer Workshop
Time: 2pm - 5pm
Location: NTR warehouse, 1524 Brandywine Street, Philadelphia PA 19130
URL: http://ntronline.org
Comments: People from the local community pay NTR $10 to bring in their PCs to have volunteers repair them. If there's time before, after, or during, we will be discussing the status of the NTR laptop project. Is it a dead project? Was it ever alive? I also plan to give a quick, simple demo on thin client technology.

Contact me with your questions. I'll put the polls up shortly for each event.

Oops, looks like we can only have one poll per thread. I didn't know that but I guess it make sense. It's not as critical that we have a head count for the NTR event. We can skip the poll for that one.

So now that I have a better idea of how this works, I'll start a new thread for polls of future events. Let me know if there's a better way to this.

I would go to MLCUG if I didn't have school work and NTR right after
