When I used Windows I used Firefox as my web broser. But I did use Opera sometimes because it had speech recognition/reader built in. Although Opera is compatible with Ubuntu, it does not have speech recognition or reader. I was wondering if there was another web browser or program out there that would have reading that I could use (reading as in I select text and is says: bla, bla, bla....)? I know there is a Firefox Extension but it does not work with newer versions of Firefox or Ubuntu.
Thanks,

I've heard that Festival is quite good. However I don't know about browser integration.

Konqueror has text to speech with Festival built in.
(Edit: In case you try this out, to be specific it requires the KDE TTS engine to function, which means installing the kttsd package.)

Thanks,
-Puppy famYou could use a whole operating system built with speech recognition, like:
oralux (http://oralux.org/)
are wait for Adriane Knoppix (http://efytimes.com/efytimes/fullnews.asp?edid=17094)
