It's nothing big, and I'm doing it tomorrow morning. Here's what I plan to cover:

Just the basics of Gnome, really. If you have any ideas for important things to add, it'd be appreciated.

You could talk about the Slab and how gnome-panel could easily be replaced.

"KDE proponents suggest having GUIs to configure everything, but Gnome users tend to use a more hybrid approach with the command-line used frequently."

What? It's up to the user if they want to use a hybrid approach or not. You shouldn't make generalizations about KDE users. In fact, one could argue the popularity of Ubuntu would lend itself to more first time and "newbie" users. I would think those users, using GNOME, would be more apt not to use a hybrid approach.
