Sold my mower when I moved to Arizona. Couldn't be happier watching the rocks grow.

Mine has 4 wheels, a deck, and a handle. I wish I had a riding mower since my yard is 2/3rd acre.

i rent; my "back yard" is an alley and my "front yard" is a busy street. no mower :)

i think if i did have a lawn and it wasn't too big i'd consider getting a push (reel) mower; as long as you keep the blades sharp and mow regularly, they do a very nice job.

I have a Black & Decker "Lawn Hog" - electric mower. No oil and gas to mess with! :)

I'd love to use a reel mower (whether powered or push) but I have a Sweetgum tree. The prickly "gumballs" it drops everywhere are a nightmare with one of those! (With a regular mower, they just get launched across the street... :lolflag: )

I rent, but my landlord mows the lawn...huge lot...acres of land around me. I love it! When I lived with my parents, I used to have to push around a mower on a very bump quarter-acre yard and seems like every year they would just put bushes and trees in random spots messing up my "pattern" and make more work for me LOL. The year they took out the above ground pool I said "I'm done...mow you're own lawn!"

Of course now I might be having to go over there everyweek to mow because my dad has a bad back and is recovering from a torn rotator cuff surgery. So it's back to the push-mower. I might encourage them to pay one of the neighborhood kids money to do it every week. LOL.

But if i did have to mow my own lawn, riding mower would be without question what I would get. But my landlord has a tractor that he mows 3 or 4 lots in a straight line which makes it uber easy for him and that's why he does it :)

i like my lawnmowers to run off a combination of the blood of endangered animals and the tears of native americans, and to emit fear and radon.

This is like the one I use, always wanted one.

They work pretty good actually, as long as it's not too long (the grass), just requires more passes, but it's fun to mow with it, I don't need to burn gas, or use electricity, whoever thought of a lawnmower that has an extension cord attached to it.
Real safe

FInd a way to mount that to a bike and I can see some real potential.....

...actually, you'd probably die if you fell off.

when mrs. fuscia and i went to buy our reel mower, she was concerned about how effective they would be, so she asked someone working there (home depot - love that smell). she asked "will it cut the grass good?" he responded "it won't cut it good. it'll cut it the best."

That's easy...make it into a trike...replace the back wheels setup with something like that. You might have to sit lower to the ground, but you'd get the same effect.

man now you've got me thinking lol

EDIT:
found this with a google image search...not quite the way I pictured it, but kinda funny....

EDIT2:
Looks like there's a patent already for the idea I thought of...dang...

Tricycle Lawnmower
US Patent Issued In 1984

Two questions: (1) Ever wish you had a way to harness your youngster's boundless energy? (2) Do you enjoy mowing the lawn or is it a necessary chore needed to keep your little jungle at bay? If you answered yes to both questions, we have the solution, the Tricycle Lawnmower.

This invention is definitely going to give the Children's Safety Council nightmares and we can only imagine the compliments you will receive on your lawn.

how often do you sharpen and oil your blades?
I don't, they sharpen themselves as the tines rub against a metal tension bar, I've only used this reel mower one season anyway.

Why do people buy gas mowers when these can be bought without all the hassle to buy gas, mix it, burn it, smell it, hear it, fix it, etc?
With this you just grab it-->push it!
And it takes just as long to mow a lawn with as with gas or electric, don't believe me?
Buy one!
