HI...ive been using ubuntu for 3 to 4 months now and i love it and im learning much of things from it :D
So i was wondering if any1 could tell me how is this possible
I downloaded Edgy's ISO image and burned it to a cd...as i need to work on a custom cd...
The CD burned fine to a 700 mb cd...but when i open this cd in nautilus and select all the files and goto their properties..it shows 1.4 GB !!!

How can it make sense ? or am i just mad ? !!

Thanks

The data is compressed or should i rather say the cd uses a compressed file system.

And btw , the custom iso im building right now is estimated to be over 800 mb , so will it burn to a cd without problems ?
