anyways..i am trying to cross-compile the 2.6.20 kernel to boot on the xbox360 but i received some errors

i have made it this far w/ help from you guys...more help please?

Run the following in a terminal window:

as --version

What I suspect you'll find is that the version of "as" installed on your machine can only handle x86 processors.

Try installing the package "binutils-multiarch", and see if that resolves the issue.

i downloaded "binutils-multiarch_2.17-3_i386"

it says:

Package: binutils-multiarch
Status: Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: binutils

i was told the kernel does not compile correctly w/ gcc-4.1.0, gcc-4.1.1 must be used
