I was wondering if anyone knew of a list, or could just name, the distros based off Ubutnu?

Ubuntu:
Kubuntu, Edubutu, Xubuntu, Fluxbuntu, Christian Ubuntu, Ubuntu Studio (coming soon) Elbuntu (coming soon?),
gNewSence, Ultimate Ubuntu (AKA Ubuntu Christmas addition), Memphis, Linspire/Freespire (from Kubuntu?), Mint Linux, Ichthux (from Kubuntu)

Are there more? I was going to make a chart for my website.

Thanks.

I don't know any others, but I can help your website with a few spelling corrections: Edubuntu, Mepis, gNewSense, Ubuntu Ultimate Edition, Linux Mint.

Also, you should clearly inform your readers of the distinction between the official and unofficial versions.

(EDIT: There's also Ubuntu Muslim Edition.)

It's Based off of Ubuntu Edgy but with Beryl pre-installed along with a bunch of other extras. This is an unofficial Ubuntu distro.

 lol, thanks for the spell check! I plan start with the parent, Debian, then Ubuntu, then the official, then the unofficial. I want it to be as clear a distinction as possible. I also plan on pointing out that Ubuntu gives back to Debian as well.

i don't get why they make seperate distributions for every windows manager. all you have to do is 'sudo apt-get install kde' or 'sudo apt-get install fluxbox'.

For one, not every computer is connected to the internet.

for those who don't want to link out:

Ubuntu Derivatives

There are several other operating systems which are derived from Ubuntu, including local language versions and hardware-specific ones. You can download them by selecting them from the links below.
Supported

These derivatives are fully supported by Canonical and the Ubuntu community.
Kubuntu (http://www.kubuntu.org/) - Ubuntu with the K Desktop Environment
Edubuntu (http://www.edubuntu.org/) - Ubuntu for Education

Has Yamefa (http://yamefa.linux.free.fr/) been mentioned yet? I love their mascot.

What makes it a ubuntu based distro? If they use the ubuntu repo even if they build gnome/kde and kernel themself (and some other parts)? If so then they all still debian based because ubuntu is debian based.

Don't worry, Studio was on my main list, but thanks for the post. It makes getting your logo on my site easier :) (I won't have to go to your site to get it.)

There's a list on Ubuntu.com

It is not a full list, sadly. Thank you for the link though! :)
