'Reason'-like audio program for GNU/Linux

I'm look for an audio composition, mixing, etc. program/program set for Linux that is the closest to Reason for Windows/Mac. So far, I have heard about things like Ardour, RoseGarden, etc. But I don't know what they're like. I'd also like to find a MP3 splitter/fuser.

Can someone help guide me in the right direction?
