Flash + Videos + Website

I want to put up numerous videos on my website and my friend was like why don't you do it in flash. He was telling me that their are website like spikedhumor.com and other ones that have their own customer player and the player just Links the videos that have been uploaded so it's quick and easy.

Does anyone know where I can find the code or a tutorial on how to do this?
