Is that possible? I'm a rookie. It seems that Ubuntu doesn't have default GCC installed. If possible, how anybody give me some tips or direction?

Thanks!

In a terminal window, run "sudo apt-get install build-essential", without the quotation marks.

Also,...if you run "$sudo apt-cache search gcc" you'll get all the packages referring to gcc.

Good Luck!
