Hello;

We're looking for some software that can manage

a. a database

b. a calendar

c. a to do list

d. a project manager

e. where we can upload spreadsheets (kind of googlespreadsheet)

f. it needs to be edited and updated from different places

g. with different account permissions

h. etc.

I found egroupware and phpgrouware who could do the job.

Which one do you advise or prefer and are there other ones who can do the job?

Little detail; all of my coleagues/friends use windows :oops: :oops:

thx

We needed something like this at work but didn't want to pay for it, and we ended up going with egroupware. I love it personally. It has its quirks but everything will.

I wouldn't want to use either of them. Look into Kolab as it will provide more integration to your end users, and gives you the peace of mind that it doesn't have PHP's infamous lack of security to contend with. OpenGroupware.org is another option that you should look into. The only catch to OG.o is that it has no e-mail server by default. Then again, you didn't say you needed e-mail, so maybe that works for you. Both Kolab and OG.o can be used from your colleagues' Windows machines if they use Outlook, using proprietary connectors.

Indeed we don't want an e-mail application.

I'll check them out.
