Indecisive about Programming tools

I need to design a Network simulator . The simulator should have a GUI. It should be able to simulate nodes, routers, media and machines. The quality of line should be user definable and user should be able to add noise to the channel. Implementation required is of queuing and routing protocols.
The problem is i know only C++, but am indecisive about what GUI builder to use. Should i go for GTK+/Glade or QT. Can someone suggest what will be suitable for my requirements.:confused:

What is your target audience? Fellow Ubuntu users? Read some comparisons between the different toolsets.
