The above link and qoute below are in German,...

from today: #sabayon @ freenode:

[20:33] <ger^kallisti> ravtux: "Am 27. Februar 2007 ist Daniel Robbins wieder als Entwickler zum Gentoo Projekt zur?ckgekehrt." means he came back on 27. feb 2007 as developer

[20:31] <ger^kallisti> ravtux: he will work on grub an vmware things

anyway just a little news for discussion.

On the verge of being a Gentoo Dev

Betelgeuse (Petteri Räty), my recruiter, has reviewed my quizzes and I appear on the verge of becoming a Gentoo developer. All that's left to do is for me to determine the areas of Gentoo that I'll be working on. Petteri wants me to have some specific initial focus on the project before I'm set up officially as a developer.

[Edit]

If anyone has any suggestions or is looking for help with particular projects, let me know. Currently, my list is looking as follows:

stuff on my "possibilities" list:
amd64 team
refactor vmware packages (need to contact maintainer/herd group)
media-video/live maintainer/tester (since I use it)
middle-layer tool for portage
...

No matter what you do, it'll be good having you back. (Well, just don't b0rk the tree; that's not usually good!) ^_^
