I've not had any Ubuntu updates for Firefox in the last couple of days - but it looks like there should be ones, judging from these press stories:

There is always a little lag between new software releases and package updates.

Also, many updates will not appear in the 6.06 packages. If you are still running Dapper, you may not have the latest Firefox any way.

But these seem to be critical security problems with Firefox - does it mean then that I cannot have a secure Firefox if I use Dapper?

looks like the fix works for 1.5, so you should be ok. However, I don't recall if 2.0 is available for dapper, and it looks like mozilla will soon stop making patches for it. You should still be able to manually install the later version, if you want.

I just dowload streight from mozilla as the ubuntu pools are usually behind when it comes to firefox.

Firefox 2.0.0.2 is unusable for me :(

Back to 2.0.0.1 I went, and now everything is sweet again! :D
