Well I went on a distro trip:-P I was looking for another distro that might work better than Ubuntu. I only have a few minor issues with ubuntu. The main thing is my printer, but I found out that it's just a bad printer to use with Linux as I had the same issues in other distros. I even tried out Kubuntu as I recently have found a liking for KDE. But that was buggy for some reason. Edgy wouldn't recognize my keyboard because it was PS/2. Hmmm. Sabayon, although a very beautiful distro, gave me headaches. I was going to try an .rpm based distro like Suse or Fedora but I don't like .rpms. It's too much like Windows. Most of the stuff out there for Linux is in the .rpm format. Then people start downloading random .rpms. Just too much like Windows. So after 3 weeks of distro hopping, I find myselft back behind the stability of the Ubuntu Dapper Gnome desktop. The software is a little old, but it's rock solid stable.
Ubuntu, it just works:KS

Welcome Back by John Sebastian - Welcome Back Kotter Lyrics (http://www.lyricsondemand.com/tvthemes/welcomebackkotterlyrics.html)

Welcome back,
Your dreams were your ticket out.

Welcome back,
To that same old place that you laughed about.

Well the names have all changed since you hung around,
But those dreams have remained and they're turned around.

Who'd have thought they'd lead ya (Who'd have thought they'd lead ya)
Here where we need ya (Here where we need ya)

Yeah we tease him a lot cause we've hot him on the spot, welcome back,
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back.http://www.lyricsondemand.com/tvthemes/welcomebackkotterlyrics.html

I am still on one long strange trip...but have kept Ubuntu on an old computer.

So I guess you could say for all intensive purposes I am here, there, and everywhere. Ubuntu will always be my home.

Ubuntu is awesome. The only "Other" Debian derivative distro I like a bit more is NepaLinux.

Thanks! It does feel good to be home.:) Hopefully Feisty will work better for me than Edgy, although I managed to get Edgy on my laptop:)

I try out new distros every so often, but always have Ubuntu on my primary. I can never quite get usedto RPM based distributions, and Ubuntu has the finishing touches that few other debian based distributions an get.

It is good to play around with new things though, and often you can learn a lot.
