Hi All,

I want to remaster ubuntu (just modify desktop background and theme) and redistribute it in cd.
I wonder will this violates ubuntu trademark & license...?

Thanks for answer

no, that is perfectly ok to do. This is the magic of open source.

your breaking no laws you just need to remove any trademarked names.

Sorry,
I don't understand.. I just want to do the right thing ^^

Is it enough to add disclaimer, that "my CD is not Ubuntu CD.. It is based on Ubuntu."

The creation of derivative distributions based on Ubuntu, where the
trademark is respected according to our policy[1], is not only allowed, it
is encouraged. If your tool makes this process easier, then everyone is
happy. Thanks for your concern.
