we deffinatly need more gui configuration tools in ubuntu. it should be possible to do all sorts of impressive stuff in ubuntu with out ever looking at the command line.

That looks slick. I do agree that there need to be more GUI configuration tools, but I'd still use CLI, as would many others. The point is, it needs to be accessible to newer users and still powerful enough for veterans. We need to have it both ways, essentially :)

You can still use the cli when using this, they don't conflict. Because it works on it's own file that is included by smb.conf.

So when you want to use the cli, you can modify smb.conf, and when you are lazy (after typing a big report) you can still share using 2 clicks :)

You can share on loopback ;)
