View Full Version : Still no advice for Novice?

I made a request for advice more than a week ago which resulted in my post being put in jail. I will repeat: What do I do if I am offended by someones adverts (in this case, jokes) on the Forum?

I can understand perhaps that it was jailed because I mentioned a forum user by their forum name, however, to receive no advice about this, as a Novice, I find quite hard to believe.

Anyone?

Ever post has a http://ubuntuforums.org/images/uf/buttons/report.gif button which confidentially notifies all forum staff regarding the post. Please use that to bring the post to our attention -- usually it will be promptly dealt with in under an hour.

Could you please explain what will happen to this statement (from RudolfMDLT) in the future? Also; taking into consideration the sick nature of his public statements, what does "MDLT" actually mean to the people that understand the abbreviation?

Thanks for the belated advice.

I myself don't know what MDLT stands for.

The statement will be jailed or deleted, and the user who posted it will be issued a warning or infraction.

As soon as I see his statement about the "pitbull" again, I'll be on the report button straight away. Situation sorted.

Thanks for your time.

I recently wrote to Mike (Forum Staff) explaining that rudolfMDLT had recently made some very positive post on the Forum and the offending statement about people getting torn to bits by Pitbulls is no longer a part of his post.

There appears to be no education for me regarding the reason for this? However, I am very grateful to whoever is responsible. Many thanks! =D>
