In honour of IWD on March 8, some of us in the Ubuntu-Women team want to build a web-based presentation profiling women who are Ubuntu members or Canonical staff working on Ubuntu.
We've got several volunteers within the Ubuntu-Women mailing list, but I didn't want the forum crowd to be left out of this, so respond on thread if you're interested in becoming involved!

During the week of March 5th-11th, 2007, the Ubuntu-Women's Project is conducting a membership drive:

During March 8th, there will be an IRC meeting (#ubuntu-women on irc.freenode.net, schedule coming up) to answer your questions.

Happy Women's Day, one and all :)
Unrelated to Ubuntu, but I feel I should highlight the sick mistreatment of women in Iran (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/6431617.stm) on this day. Words cannot express my anger at this issue.
Keep fighting, sisters!
