What about Ubuntu speech recognition ? or Linux speech recognition ? would that be possible in linux ?

Voice recognition would be possible, every OS on the market can do it.
its just a matter of time.

It's awesome + handicapet people can use the computer more well ( if they have arm problems )

Yeah, but - this would help more people migrate from windows to linux,.. and then people cant say "linux doesnt have that". + Just what I said^ :)

Voice rec. is nothing really to do with the actual OS, it is software driven (in XP & Vista in the form of a common library) and is nothing new either, programs like dragon dictate had it before M$ decided to envelop it like the blob in a b movie.
I dont get why prople are suddenly saying 'ooooh vist has voice rec' when XP had it anyway, you just had to install it.
It would be helpful/good/fun if linux had a common VR system as well that any program could interface with.
