I love those commercials. Don't know why, but I just do. :) I'm not a Mac user, and prefer PC's. I've watched this one a few times already. Crack up every time the "security" talks.

LMAO!! I tried out Vista RC1 and that's exactly what it was like. Every little thing you did you got some kind of warning about it. Got extremely annoying. I ditched that after a month and don't plan on buying it.

I don't like commercials that bash the opposition, even if the opposition is Microsoft.

This a good one though, and original.

I wish there was one with Ubuntu. I imagine it as being something like this...

You see the mac guy, and an even cooler looking dude with a ponytail and glasses to represent Ubuntu.

Mac: Hi, I'm a Mac.
Ubuntu: and I'm a PC.
Mac: You don't look like PC...
Ubuntu: Yeah, I got fed up with spyware, viruses, unstable software... Decided it was time for a change.
Mac: Must have been expensive...
Ubuntu: Actually, I just installed Ubuntu. It was free.
Mac: Was it painful?
Ubuntu: No, it was actually very easy.
Mac: And what about all of your old documents?
Ubuntu: I have free software to edit them now, and besides, I can run both Ubuntu and Windows.

Ubuntu switches to the old PC guy in a 3D cube animation.

Mac: Wow... Can I try this?
Ubuntu: Sure, you can run Ubuntu on a Mac as well. Here's a free CD.

Now that's great. It sounds like a great way to promote Ubuntu/Linux without bashing.

I wish I knew flash or something so I could make my own....

Seriously, we have to come up with something better than this:

Try Ubuntu (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPfTePHKzPo)

that would be an awesome advert

the ubuntu guy could walk to the edge of the screen, and say to the mac guy "one minute, just gunna talk to windows" and then pull at the edge, it does a beryl style flip and windows is there. he talks for a bit and then flips back to a bewildered looking mac guy

Why does everyone alsways think that you can't change video cards in macs?
Do people think all macs are laptops?

I'm not really a mac fan, but some of the things peope think about them are so stupid.

Anyhow, the Ubuntu v. Windows v. Mac add is a good idea.

Tnx for the link dude, now I'm gonna save them all to my harddrive so I don't have to youtube everytime. Need help with one problem though!
Usually when I click on Quicktime trailers Mplayer plugin starts and then I could use it to save the trailers to my harddrive.
But then suddenly my Gxine plugin took over just randomly do you know how I can disable it and make Mplayer the default Quicktime trailer plugin again?

Eh never mind I let things boil for some hours now when I test it again Mplayer became the default Quicktime plugin again. I think my other Ubuntu PC also have caught the HEX (long story)

We have very similar ads in the UK featuring two comedians called Mitchell and Webb.

The Most Ridiculous Windows Video Ever
http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/software/the-most-ridiculous-windows-video-ever-234831.php

An ad for Windows 386, did that really exist? The farthest I can go back is DOS 6 or something and Windows 3.1
Ridiculous or not I just like listening to the Mission Impossible theme by Lalo Shcifrin in the background.

T-bone= is that slang for Tangent-Board? I thought americans only used the term Key-Board...

Too bad there are no ads that make linux look cool. Well, sure there are but their nowhere as good looking as those mac vs pc ads.
Maybe i'll edit one of them and replace all mac with linux, it would still apply for most of them.
