I have been a lurker for a few months since I started using ubuntu. I cannot tell you how many times this forum has saved me, and I haven't even had to post!!!!
A sincere thank you goes out to all the fellow users who take the time to help the less informed.
Thanks.

Congrats on your first post. :) I have noticed that in every aspect of forums/newsgroups wether it's dealing with Linux, Horticulture, Emulation, Mathematics, Programming.. what have you... if you search hard/long enough, you will not need to make a post in most situations since you're re-asking the question others have asked before you.
A great search tool is google mated with ubuntuforums.org
So for all your searches, go to google and in the query field, put in "site:ubuntuforums.org <search term>"
Examples:
"site:ubuntuforums.org dpmi"
"site:ubuntuforums.org installing wine"
"site:ubuntuforums.org xorg.conf"

Thanks noob ;)
I find 3/4 of my questions were/are already answered too. The other 1/4 I just couldn't come up with the right search words.

I just wish others would follow your example but I suppose we are dealing with human nature here and people are to lazy to search.
