Wow, I didnt expect this

I'm a student at the U right now (not for long:) ) and ive been tinkering with ubuntu for a few weeks now, but i had no idea there was this kind of local community, I'm terribly impressed.

What usually goes on at these saturday meetings?

They usually have a presentation about something related to Ubuntu for instance, the last one was at the SLC Public Library and was about getting a constitution for the Ubuntu-Utah team. The one before that was about creating .deb files. Most of the information can be found on the IRC #ubuntu-utah , on the google mailing list, or on our website at www.ubuntu-utah.org .

So to sum it up, we talk about really geeky computer stuff that is realated to Ubuntu and sometimes other distros.

thenetduck- Our mailing list isn't hosted on Google anymore. As soon as we became an approved team, which was a while ago, we moved the mailing list to the official Ubuntu mailing lists.

https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-utah is the list you want to be on now. Maybe I should send an email to the Google groups list making sure everyone is aware of this.
