Hello everybody!

I discovered ubuntu this week via the live distribution of the french magazine "linux pratique". Yesterday I downloaded the iso image and I installed it. I had a concern only for Internet, but I have the practice with my modem Alcatel speedtouch, I will not have not been long in succeeding in configuring it. I like much the philosophy of ubuntu and as I have humane projects towards Africa this distribution fit with my interest. My wish would be to be able to create an online transaction system in order to manage an online gifts web site. I thus do not know anything with these systems so if somebody would have documentation I am taking.

I've never made an online store myself, but from the little I've read, the LAMP set of technologies seems pretty popular. LAMP = Linux, Apache, MySQL, Perl and Python. Search for LAMP and see what you can find.
