I recently installed Dapper for a family member & was quite surprised that the updates took longer to apply than the install. Is 6.06.2 ever going to be on the cards?

I'm hoping so. When I setup my the freeboxes (freegeek.org like), I use 6.06.1. I need to learn the OEM install better though, and I'd like to install more stuff on the systems before I give them out. I try to stick with 6.06 because of the Long Term Support. It's rock-solid stable too.

After some earlier posts on this issue, I actually filed a bug report on launchpad. It was rejected as not being a real bug (which makes me wonder about Bug#1, but nevermind). The problem was however acknowledged by the devs and they said they'd be on to it soon.
