I was thinking.. say you were typing a paper for class on some topic you don't know much about. Wouldn't it be nice to have a word processor that had a built in search feature that would automatically open up a webpage on a sidebar or something similar where you could search as you typed. or even just a search bar that would open up the browser. what are your ideas on that?

Isn't Google heading that direction?

What's wrong with having 2 windows open?

I thought you were looking for a fuller featured HTML composer...

Sounds like feature creep to me. I have a keybinding that brings up a browser no matter what program I'm in. Then it's another keystroke or two to get to the search box. Yes, that's slightly harder than just clicking in a box in the app I'm already in, but: it works now, it works for every app, it works for any browser (by changing the action bound to the keystroke).

You could make the case that most people don't know how/wouldn't think to make such keybindings, and it would be helpful for them. But it still looks like feature creep.

I thought this was already done?

I don't know about general word processing, but this concept is already available for script writing using either Script Buddy (http://www.scriptbuddy.com/) or CeltX (http://www.celtx.com/).
