UCE = Ubuntu certified Engineer
UCT = Ubuntu Certified Technician
When can we find such certificate to take? like RHE from redhat?
when can we find companies that one of its core business is supporting ubuntu ?
when there will be an official support? like windows, redhat, unix ... etc?
Check this story out :)
recently my company did a small research to see which operating system is the best to suite our big big big simulations. We bring the big server with 350 CPU :eek: then we install each operating system and recored the results. The os's were hp, sun soliroies, red hat, windows. and the winner with no competitor was red hat ( i really mean with no competitor ) . Red hat managed to run and finish the testing suit faster then others. Faster 40% than the second. I talked to the project supervisor in the company and ask why don't you just use other distro of linux that are 10% free, with that you will save some of the cost ? . The answer was simply " If you know other distros that we can find an official support for just tell me. we want to be 100% that we can find official support. And you know it is hard just to employ a person just for other distro of linux."
So gentlemen, ?
What do you think When the time shall come to find UCE and UCT people around ?
When the big company like IBM will give a hand and support ubuntu ?
(PS: Sorry for the poor English )
