There is a description of the user interface available too. A lot of people have put forth criticism towards this interface since it is radically different from a traditional desktop-OS window manager. Personally, I think it seems nice and refreshing, though I have yet to try it out for myself. Still, one of the major problems with computers is that the users do strange things. Simplifying the interface should be a good thing, and I really don't see how this would impair children from working on a "real" computer (as some people claim).
On a side note, why is OLPC working with RedHat? Ubuntu with its philosophy should have been a far better candidate. Or is it simply a matter of money being spent? That RedHat offered to provide developers for free or something like that? I haven't found any good explanations to the choice of distribution. :confused:
