I was woundering if anyone knows of any good OpenSource repalcements for quickbook.

You can try gnucash. Not as fancy but it works.

Give MoneyDance a shot. It does pretty much everything you need.

GNUCash is ok if you use GNOME - but it's butt ugly if you're a KDE user. I suggest KMyMoney. Has more features and a decent interface (even in GNOME, it's a KDE app). It's replaced my paper check book. :D

is quickbook a business finance application or a personal application? I use grisbi for my personal finance and am very happy with it.

quick book is a business finance program.

Techinicly, it is a personal program, but it still costs $100 dollars, and makes M$ look like the holy grail. But the business version, which is $500 dollars every other year is OK.
