This offer doesn't appear to be valid outside of North America yet. Leastways, I can't find prices for this kit in € or £.

Hopefully that will not be the case soon!

Smooth deal! It's about time. There's nothing wrong with it shipping with FreeDOS really ... not like I'd use it but oh well. I'll have to point this link at several friends of mine who haven't gone the step of building their own computer :)

ships with FreeDos...

According to TFA, it ships with an unformatted hard drive. So, no, it doesn't ship with FreeDos installed.

The N-series have been available for a long time already, at least for more than a year.

I started working here a year ago and they already had the N-series. For some reason this story has been on Slashdot today, but this isn't news.

Maybe they have been available for businesses only, but i doubt that.

Oh, BTW this is Belgium I'm talking about, so there not only available in the USA.

Guys -
Compare Dell's n-series Pentium D 820 to their plain old Windows equipped D 820

http://www.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/cto_dimene520?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs

Notice the Windows D820 has a 320 GB HDD vs. the n-Series' 250. The price is the same for both PC's

HP plays the same game. You want a PC without Windows? Sure, here you go. It'll either cost more or you'll get less than the one with Windows, but please don't let that stop you.

Might as well buy the Windows PC then do what you will with it.

Another repeat thread. See http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=345263

Conclusion, windows versions are cheaper than the freedos version ](*,)
